American State Bank of Erskine is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2009, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts with American State Bank of Erskine are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. After that time, FDIC deposit insurance coverage will revert to $100,000. This insurance is in addition to the FDIC's normal deposit insurance coverage of $250,000.
